(JUN.6) Police: Escaped Prisoner captured in Warrington

Daniel Selby was captured early afternoon around 1245 after a 3 hour search.  Police had him contained to a geographical area near the Bradford Dam Reservoir.  Witnesses spotted Selby running across County Line Road into Horsham Township around 1230 pm.  Canine officers began to track Selby from that location and he ran back across County Line Road into the Bluestone Woods residential neighborhood in Warrington Township.  A police canine from Bensalem Township located Selby hiding in a bush around 1245 pm.  Central Bucks Schools in Warrington and Chalfont were in lockdown as a precaution.  Those lockdowns have been lifted.  Selby was interviewed at Warrington police headquarters and transported for processing arraignment in front of Judge Seaman.

Chief Friel would like to thank all of the neighboring police departments and sheriff’s deputies who assisted.  He would also like to thank the support of the public and all of the tips and phone calls we received helping us track Mr. Selby.
