The Warrington Township Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to extend Water facilities along Valley Road to Joao & Bradley Construction Co. Inc. Mobilization for this project is anticipated to begin the week of September 28, 2017. Work is anticipated to begin on October 2, 2017 weather dependent and subject to materials delivery.
This project will involve the extension of water main along Valley Road between County Line Road and a few hundred feet past where Valley Road intersects with Hickory Hollow Circle. Additionally, an existing water main along Hickory Hollow Circle will be extended to connect to the new water main along Valley Road.
There will be an inspector on site each day. The inspector will be the key contact between the residents and the contractor. Dennis Work and/or Jim Buck of CKS Engineers, Inc. will be the inspector. They can be contacted during working hours of the project at 267-770-5424 and 215-450-9622 respectively. Working hours each day will be 7AM until 4PM.
Valley Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 7AM and 4PM. Road closure signs showing closure dates have been placed where Valley Road intersects with County Line Road and where Valley Road intersects with Street Road. Emergency vehicles will have access to Valley Road at all times. The recommended detour during road closure is County Line Road to Easton Road to Street Road.
The contractor will also be videotaping the current conditions of all curbs, sidewalks, trees and shrubs before the job gets underway. Any lawn damage will be repaired and reseeded. Where any of the work occurs within driveways/driveway aprons, they will be repaired along with any curb or sidewalk damage. We anticipate this project to be substantially completed as early as November 2017 but no later than January 2018.
