Warrington Township acquires 66 acres of the Mill Creek property to be used as Open Space

WARRINGTON – On December 20, 2018, the Township completed its acquisition of 67.8118 acres parcel of land at the corner of Pickertown and Lower State Roads in Warrington.  This property was purchased from Eureka at a price of $2,023,300.00.  The Township received a $1,011,650.00 grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources towards the purchase price and an additional $285,742.00 from the Bucks County Open Space program.  The remainder of the funds is from the voter approved open space program.  The Township’s Open Space and Land Preservation Committee and the Environmental Advisory Council have been working for a couple years to make this acquisition a reality. “This has been an ongoing Township goal and has been a major accomplishment for the residents of Warrington Township,” said Board Chair Shirley A. Yannich.
