Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc., will conduct basting activities at their Warrington Quarry located on Route 611 in Warrington Township. The blasting is scheduled for Friday, March 1, 2019, BETWEEN 10AM AND 1 PM.
As mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, all blasting activities will be monitored and conducted according to all State and Federal laws.
Prior to the detonation, depending on your proximity to the Warrington Quarry, you may hear the following:
- At least 1 minute but no more than 2 minutes prior to the detonation, an air horn signal of 3 bursts, each lasting 5-10 seconds will be sounded
- Following the inspection of the blast area, a single 10 second air horn signal will be sounded.
Adverse weather conditions, equipment breakdowns, personnel illnesses and other unforeseen issues may make it necessary in the interest of safety to conduct unscheduled blasting operations on occasion.
