By April 1, 2020, every home should have received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. You will have three options for responding:
- By phone.
- By mail.
For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau will accept census responses online. The process will be quick and secure. You can respond to the 2020 Census in less time than it takes to finish your morning coffee. Visit 2020census.gov to learn more about what to expect.
Importance of the Data
The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade.
Census Self-Participation Deadline Extended
Warrington residents still have time to participate in the Census! Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Census has extended the self-participation deadline from July 31 to August 14. In addition, 2020 Census field operations are currently suspended, which means that no door-to-door visits will be coming anytime soon. Please respond early and get counted first! Field operations will be reevaluated in mid-April.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Census as soon as possible online or by mail or phone. If residents do not respond online or by phone, they will receive a paper questionnaire in a few weeks. Didn’t receive a code to complete the Census?
