Final Credit Opinion
Any resident who has applied for the County School District rebate will automatically qualify for the township rebate.  There is not an additional form to complete.  Any new residents could use the attached form and send it to the township by Oct 31, 2019.  They will be gathered and sent to the County.

Karen Palmer, Acting Finance Director

Karen Palmer joined Warrington Township January 2018. Karen has a Master’s of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern University in St Davids, PA. She has worked in finance her entire career over 35 years. Starting out as a part time accountant with Warrington, she quickly moved up the ladder to taking the Finance Directors position in an acting capacity, hoping that it will become permanent in a few months.

Karen has worked as a Finance Director at Penndel Mental Health Facility for five years, Planned Parenthood as an Administrative Director for one year, and Assistant Director of Finance at the University Health Care System for four years. Before that she spent almost twelve years working her way up to Accounting manager at Frankford Health Care System (Aria HC now) back in the nineties and early 2000’s.

She is working toward her CPFO Certification though The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The Certified Public Finance Officers Program (Certification Program) of GFOA is a broad educational self-study program designed to verify knowledge in the disciplines of government finance.

Karen lives in Chalfont and has three sons and two grandchildren.

Notice – Business Privilege Tax

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled that the Township’s Business Privilege Tax is unconstitutional.  Therefore disregard the recent forms you may have received from Berkheimer Tax Administrator associated with this tax.  Once the Township formally receives notice from the Court to issue refunds to those businesses that had previously paid the tax, the refunds will be issued.  We do not know at this time when we will receive notice from the Court.
