Warrington Township has been participating in the world-wide celebration of Earth Day. for over 7 years. The staging ground for community service activities is Twin Oaks Day Camp on April 18, 2009 (Rain Date April 19th) from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Working with local Scout Troops, School Clubs, Businesses and individual volunteers fan out across the Township and conduct a variety of community service activities. Activities include litter clean up, storm drain labeling, geo-locating detention basins, flower planting, tree identification, promoting rain garden and rain barrels and surveying homeowners on healthy yard practices.
Everyone gets treated to a series of educational exhibits, hands-on activities, breakfast and lunch donated by local businesses, music and karaoke from local entertainment specialists Karaoke & Beyond.
