"The Bradford Dam is a 280 acre tract which Bucks County has preserved to protect the area's natural wetlands. The Dam is open to fishing and also has a maintained walking trail." The Bradford Dam area is home to a number of different bird species such as the Grasshopper Sparrow, Willow Fly Catcher, and Eastern King Bird. This unusual bird refuge is a valuable passive recreation area for Bucks County residents.Based on recommendations from wildlife and environmental experts, the township requested that the grasslands be allowed to remain high from May until early August until the birds have hatched and nurtured their young.
