Warrington Sports Programs
While
Warrington Township does not
offer a municipal sports
program, we are supportive
of the Warrington Warwick
Athletic Association (WWAA),
the Warrington Soccer Club (WSC)
and the Warrington American
Legion and Connie Mack
Baseball organizations.
WWAA:
The Warrington Warwick
Athletic Association is a 46
year old youth program that
has a variety of sports
available for children ages
5 - 18 (depending on the
sports.) Please check
our links to contact a
specific program. A
list of registration dates
will be forthcoming from
each sport prior to the
start of their season. The
WWAA provides several
different programs including
boys and girls basketball,
baseball, softball,
cheerleading, football,
field hockey, and boys lacrosse.

next to Barclay Elementary
School at 2015 Palomino
Drive. This park has
something for everyone! Play
equipment includes a slide,

water fountain and a play
structure. Also available
are tennis courts,
basketball courts, a
baseball field and a walking
path around the school
fields. This park was
established in 1978 and has

Barness Park is found at
2750 Bristol Road. Barness
will be undergoing changes
as the Board of Supervisors
has recently purchased an
adjoining property and will
be integrating the two
parcels of land together to
update the park. Barness
Park currently has a
football field, 7 softball
and baseball fields, several
temporary fields, a small
tot lot and a concession
stand. The Warrington
Athletic Association has
used the fields for many
years. The new plan
anticipates adding
additional fields and
courts. Barness Park has
22.6 acres and was
established in 1989. |

The Mary Barness Tennis and
Swim Club is located at 2501
Freedoms Way. The Swim Club
has a family pool, an adult
pool and a wading pool for
small children. The Swim
Club hosts many activities
throughout the summer months
including swim lessons,
magicians, petting zoos,
bands and other family
entertainment. There is also
a tennis court, sand
volleyball court, picnic
tables, grills and other
play equipment. The Club
generally opens in late May
and closes on Labor Day. The
Mary Barness Tennis and Swim
Club has 11.3 acres. |

You can find IPW Park
(otherwise know as Upper
Nike Park) at 3095 Bradley
Road, off of Folly Road,
opposite Lower Nike Park.
IPW Park has 7 soccer
fields, a walking path and
picnic tables. IPW Park has
hosted Warrington Day and
Memorial Day in the past.
Igoe, Porter, Wellings Park
is named after three
Warrington service men who
died serving their country.
It was established in 1980
and has 16.8 acres. |

Lower
Nike Park - 23.7 acres

Lower Nike Park is
located at 301 Folly Road,
across from IPW Park. Lower
Nike has a basketball court,
sand volleyball court, a
pavilion, grills, a hockey
rink that doubles for an ice
skating rink in the winter
and a nature blind. Lower
Nike is also the entrance to
our trail system. Lower Nike
Park once was the Nike Base,
a working military missile
silo that has since been
closed and dedicated to the
Township. This park has 23.7
acres and was established in
1997. |

| Twin
Oaks Day Camp -
approximately 47 acres |

Twin Oaks is located at 3129
Bradley Road next to IPW.
This property has two pools,
an office, a lunchroom
facility, park equipment
including a swing set, play
structure and teeter
totters, picnic benches, an
archery area, two tennis
courts, two basketball
courts, gaga courts, several
baseball/softball fields,
several all purpose fields,
a pond and a horse corral
and barn. The park also has
many "camper
bunks." This property
has not yet been developed
as a park but is used for
the township summer camp.
This property has
approximately 47 acres. |

Willow
Knoll Park - .8

Willow Knoll Park is located
at 2235 Oxford Drive, upon
entering the Willow Knoll
Development. This park was
partially funded by a grant
and has swings, a pavilion,
play structures, a water
fountain, a basketball court
and picnic benches. This
park sits on .8 acres and
was established in 1997. |

Wood Tot Lot |

Penns Wood Tot Lot is found
at 351 Kansas Road next to
the Penns Wood development.
This is a small tot lot with
new play equipment. |

| Special
Equestrian Center - 40 acres |
|
The Special Equestrian
Center is located at
2800 Street Road. The
Special Equestrian Center
was built on a forty-acre
tract that links the
Township and County parks as
well as privately owned open
space. It is a state of the
art facility that is the
only therapeutic riding
facility in Bucks County for
disabled children and
adults. It was the training
facility for the 1999
Pennsylvania State
Equestrian Team for the
Special Olympics World Games
held in June in Raleigh,
N.C. For more information on

Park - 11 acres |
|
King Park is an 11 acre
tract, located at 1597 Turk
Road, adjacent to the
Doylestown Turk Fields and
next to the new Water and
Sewer Building. This is a
newly created park which is
not open to the public at
this time. The fields
need several growth seasons
before they can be
used. It has two all
purpose fields and
basketball and tennis
courts. |
