Horseback Riding at Everything Little Farm Pony Club: Monday nights, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., July 26th –August 30th. Ages 4-10 The Pony Club is a group hat brings together children with similar interest in horses. The children learn new horse knowledge with fun activities, groom/feed the ponies, horse related craft, and an introduction to horseback riding an/or driving. Children must wear closed toe shoes/boots. Riding helmets are available for purchase or to borrow. Cost is $145.00 for the 6 week session and includes a 10 piece grooming kit for the child to keep.
JR. FISHING CAMP
These fishing programs will be for kids age 9 to 14 years (as of July 1, 2010) Kids will explore different locations with offer different fishing environments and water eco systems. Visits will be made to Lake Towhee Park, Lake Nockamixon, Tohickon Creek and the pond behind Weisel Hostel. Class size is a minimum of 9 and 16 maximum in order to hold the camp.
DATES:
Session I – July 19 to 23. The campers will meet at pavilion #2 Lake Towhee Park, Old Bethlehem Pike, Quakertown.
Session 2 – August 16th to 20th.at Nockamixon State Park. The first day the campers will meet at Nockamixon State Park, the location will be determined at a later date and all registered kids will be notified by telephone. Both camps will run from 9am to 12pm each day.
COST: $50 per child (includes instruction, equipment, and staffing). Sponsored by the Bucks County Dept. of Parks and Recreation 215-348-6114.
Saturday mornings from 10-11am, July 10th - August 14th. Ages 3–5. Children and their moms will come to Everything Little Farm to learn about horses in a fund and interactive way designed especially for the youngest set. Children will make a craft, listen to a horse story, play horse games, groom the ponies with their own grooming kit and take a ride on the pony through an obstacle course before leaving. Children must wear closed toe shoes/boots. Riding helmets are available for purchase or to borrow. Cost is $145.00 for the 6 week session and includes a 10 piece grooming kit for the child to keep.
