Warrington Township To Consider New Rental Inspection Program

In an effort to ensure that all Township residents live in a safe and healthy home, the members of the Warrington Township Board of Supervisors (BOS) are considering the implementation of an annual rental inspection program for all Rental Housing Units.  There are several key benefits of this program.  The first is to improve the quality of living for Township Residents who occupy Rental Housing Units.  The second benefit is to ensure the same quality of living for residents who surround Rental Housing Properties.  The third is to establish a baseline for quality of living for ALL Rental Housing Unit occupants.

This Ordinance (local law) is being considered for advertisement during the November 23, 2021 Board of Supervisors meeting and considered for adoption during their December 14, 2021 meeting.  If approved, the Rental Inspection Program stands to be implemented in January of 2022.

While inspections may not immediately after adoption, the work will start immediately. If adopted, the Ordinance will be available for public viewing on our Township website. Township staff will continue to provide more information through our website, social media platforms, and traditional media resources as we head into the implementation of this new Rental Inspection Program.
