Parks and Recreation Department:
Always moving forward. As we head into another year we are always looking to expand, improve and add to our already great Parks system. This year we are making a major upgrade to the Willow Knoll Park with the help of Josh Adams of the New Orleans Saints. This new and improved park will feature and exciting Challenge course, a 40-yard dash course, new playgrounds for ages 2-5 and 5-12, and a new basketball court. We will be bringing back our very popular Farmers Market from June through October, adding a key link to the 202 to Bradford dam trail, and getting on step closer to completing our pond to wetland conversion at Lions Pride Park. This conversion will introduce a new sustainable habitat that will provide great opportunities for bird watching and educational classes. The Mary Barness Community Pool will once again be the place to go throughout the summer to relax, cool dawn and spend time with family and friends. Trails, open space, and facilities are always at the forefront of our thinking, and we will continue to come up with new and creative ideas and programs to present to the residents of Warrington township. Please check out our Facebook page for all the latest happenings, photos and videos pertaining to Parks & Recreation in the Township. |
